Our story

A family business, grown from the ground up.

Iris Lawn & Garden Care was founded by Alex in 2018 — but the story starts earlier. From 2010 he'd worked alongside friends and family in the earthworks and landscaping trades, steadily building the hands-on knowledge and skill he'd one day pour into a business of his own. In 2018, he backed himself, and Iris Lawn & Garden Care was born.

Sara joined Alex as co-owner along the way. A registered nurse by background, she stepped fully into the business after the arrival of their first son — bringing the organisation, warmth and people skills to look after a growing team and an ever-growing list of happy clients. Our full-time gardener, Max, looks after the regular maintenance rounds, backed by our wider team — so while you won't always see one of the owners, you can count on a trusted member of the Iris Lawn & Garden Care team who treats your garden with the same care every visit.

Today, Iris Lawn & Garden Care is exactly what it set out to be: a genuine family business that treats every garden like its own — reliable, friendly, and proud to care for the local Adelaide community.
